6 Jamaicans wanted in Canada

Monday, February 13, 2012

SIX Jamaicans have been listed by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Force as wanted for manslaughter and immigration offences.

The website www.rcmp-grc.gc.ca/ identified the Jamaicans as Norman Needham, Germaine Lindo, Corie Bygrave, Eton Dacosta, Clifford Davis and Samora Edwards.

The Canadian police say Needham was among a group of men, including the victim Dave Sylvester Francis, who were in a car returning to an address in Toronto when Needham shot and killed Francis with a handgun. The victim’s body was dumped over the guardrail of a highway on-ramp and was discovered three weeks later.

In April 1993, an arrest warrant was issued charging Needham with manslaughter. He is believed to have fled to Jamaica.

He is five feet eight inches tall and weighs 150 lbs (68 kg). He has a mole on the right side of his nose and a scar on the left side of face. He goes by the aliases 'Norman Washington Yee' and 'Shanky Needham'.

Lindo is wanted for the October 1993 manslaughter of 20-month-old Candace DaSilva.

The child was brought to an emergency room by her mother Rose Mary DaSilva and Lindo who is the stepfather. The child was suffering from severe burns that resulted from forced immersion in scalding water. She died a month later as a result of her injuries.

DaSilva was arrested and charged with manslaughter in the death of the child and a Canada-wide warrant was issued for Lindo, charging him with manslaughter.

Dacosta is the subject of an active Canada-wide warrant for removal after being convicted of four counts of assault, obstructing a peace officer, escaping lawful custody, failure to comply with recognizance, possession of a weapon, failure to comply with a probation order, failure to attend court, failure to comply with conditions of undertaking given by an officer in charge and uttering threats in Canada.

His last known address was in Toronto, Ontario.

Davis goes by the aliases 'Hotboy' and 'Kenroy Davis'. He is inadmissible to Canada after being convicted of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, obstruction of a peace officer and robbery.

He bears acne scars on his cheek and tattoos on his left hand marked ‘Son’; his right hand marked ‘God’; a cross on his right shoulder; ‘King Son’ on his right forearm and ‘Religious’ on his upper right arm.

Edwards goes by the aliases 'Samora Moses Davidson', 'Christopher Orlando Davidson' and ‘Chirtopherorla Edwards'. He bears scars on his right knee, left knee, nose and head.
