AK-47 seized in Portmore, two men in custody

ST CATHERINE, Jamaica - Lawmen in the St Catherine South Division on Friday seized a firearm and several rounds of ammunition during an operation in Portsmouth, Portmore, St Catherine.

Two men were also taken into custody in relation to the incident, however, a release from the Constabulary Communication Network (CCN) late Friday said their identities are being withheld pending further investigations.

Reports from the Portmore police are that about 5:50 am, lawmen searched premises in the area and found an AK-47 assault rifle with a magazine containing two 7.62 rounds of ammunition.
