Accused ganja smuggler granted bail

ANDREW Sinclair, who is accused of attempting to smuggle marijuana in a box labelled 'National Water Crackers' was today granted $600,000 bail with surety when he appeared in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court.
Police report that the box was examined before being shipped and underneath five buns, five rectangular boxes were discovered with newspaper stuffing. Inside was 10.5 pounds of marijuana.
The 39-year-old father of two was ordered by Resident Magistrate Shelly Williams to surrender his travel documents and a stop order was put in place at all ports of exit from the island.
Sinclair is to report to the police every Monday, Wednesday and Friday betwwen 6 am and 7 pm as part of his bail conditions.
