Another killing in Slipe

St Elizabeth, Jamaica — The St Elizabeth police have recorded two killings a day apart in the rural community of Slipe in South West St Elizabeth.
Following the shooting death of 16 year-old, Newell High School student Melenec Campbell at his home on Saturday, Hulice Johns was shot to death this morning.
Reports are that Johns, 51, a farmer from Penn District in Slipe was found at about 12: 20 this morning with gunshot wounds to his chest, head and both hands after explosions were heard and citizens alerted the police.
Johns was found lying on the Slipe main road and was taken to the Black River Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The police are investigating the two cases.
Campbell and Johns’ killing is said to bring to sixteen the number of murders in the parish since the start of the year.
