KINGSTON, Jamaica — Bus operators have only five days remaining to apply for routes in the Jamaica Urban Transit Company's (JUTC) new route allocation exercise, the State bus company said in a release Friday.

Applications opened on January 13, 2014, and will close on January 31, 2014.

The JUTC said that it is reducing the sub-franchise licences from 572 to 425 to accommodate its new buses which were ordered under a 100 million Euro loan agreement in 2010.
