JAMAICA'S streets will buzz with excitement on November 23 with a celebrity-filled, inter-parish road challenge that takes inspiration from CBS' Amazing Race and the world-famous Gumball Rally.
The competition, titled Ram Goat Run, will require Jamaicans to take to the open road solving clues and puzzles, fulfilling challenges and searching for an elusive ram goat.
Proceeds from the event will benefit the We Care For Cornwall Regional Hospital group, which aims to strengthen the services and capacity of the Cornwall Regional Hospital through advocacy, financial support, and volunteerism.
Ram Goat Run entrants will travel from Caymanas Polo Club to Buccaneer's Jerk Centre in Llanrumney, Port Maria via Ocho Rios and back to the Polo Club via the Junction main road. Along the way, contestants will compete in exciting tasks and solve wacky clues, all the while attempting to collect as many points as possible.
The day's ultimate goal will be to find the crafty ATL ram goat, and the team with the most points at the end of the day will win prizes, including Sandals/Beaches vacations, state-of-the-art appliances from ATL and other great prizes courtesy of ATL, the event's main sponsors, and much more.
Ram Goat Run will be heavily driven via social media throughout the day and is open to the public.
An entry fee of $15,000 per car or $7,000 per bike is required and this entitles competitors to breakfast, lunch and free entry to the event's ultra-all-inclusive after-party.
With Jamaica's premier events and party planners, Main Event Entertainment spearheading the after-party, the Caymanas Polo Club is set to come alive featuring top disc jockeys to top off what the organisers say will be a history-making day.
Entry to the after-party only will be $3,000.
The organisers say that persons who want more information on the Ram Goat Run or to register should visit www.ramgoatrun.com or follow them on Facebook at www.facebook.com/RamGoatRun, on Instagram on RamGoatRun or tweet @RamGoatRun.
