Back hoe blocks Red Hills Road
Tuesday, September 04, 2012 | 11:45 AM
KINGSTON, Jamaica - Traffic along Red Hills Road in St Andrew was reduced to single lane this morning after a truck transporting a backhoe got stuck under the overhead bridge at the intersection with Washington Boulevard.
"The back hoe on the back of the truck was too high and in attempting to pass under the bridge the back hoe collided with the bottom of the bridge," police on the scene said.
The incident also resulted in an oil spill.
Firefighters were called in to the area to remove oil from the road way.
