Body found in Red Hills

KINGSTON, Jamaica — The body of a man was found today with several gunshot wounds along the Mount Salus road in Red Hills, St Andrew.

Police say that about 7:00am residents in the area stumbled on the unidentified body and alerted the authorities.

"Police are looking at several leads at this time, one of them is that the man may have been killed elsewhere and then dragged to the area," an investigator probing the case said.

The murder scene is close to where the bodies of a couple, Taiwo McKenzie and his girlfriend Jhanel Whyte, were found with their throats slashed on November 9 in the 2007 murder that became known as the Good Samaritan case.

Two men, Shane Brown and Andre Ennis, the brother of a popular entertainer, were sentenced to life in prison for the Good Samaritan killing.
