Motorists are advised to use the alternative routes through Barry or Sligoville.
Further updates will be issued when the road is cleared.
Meanwhile, the National Works Agency is also advising that the Williamsfield to Glengoffe main road in St Catherine in the vicinity of Mount Industry is also impassable. There is no alternative route.
The Zion Hill Bridge to Free Town main road is also blocked at Bamboo Corner. Teams have been dispatched to both locations to reopen the roadways.
