Broadcaster on firearm charge back in court

KINGSTON, Jamaica -Broadcaster Wayne Whyte and his co-accused Safari Farr return to court today for a plea and case management hearing for the shooting of Jody-Ann Gray, Whyte’s co-worker at Kool FM.

The two are charged with wounding with intent and illegal possession of a firearm.

Gray, who was pregnant at the time, was shot twice at the gate of her Portmore home in early April.

She underwent emergency surgery and gave birth to a baby girl in July.
