Businessman chased, shot dead on Kew Road

A 64-year-old businessman was yesterday chased and shot dead by gunmen on Kew Road in St Andrew.

He has been identified as Delroy Thompson of a Kingston address.

The police report that at about 10:00 am residents heard gunshots and alerted them. During a search of the area, Thompson's body was found along the roadside with gunshot wounds.

"I was in my house watching TV and I heard the shots. When I looked out I saw people running," a woman told the Jamaica Observer.

Yesterday, the police offered no motive for Thompson's killing.
