Businessman shot, injured

A businessman is now in hospital after he was shot and injured yesterday by robbers in a community known as Bell Rock, located off Olympic Way in St Andrew.
Police reported that the man was travelling with two children in his vehicle when upon reaching a rough section of the road two gunmen approached him and demanded money before opening fire.
The injured man returned the fire at the fleeing robbers. He was taken to hospital and the screaming children taken from the scene by the police.
The businessman was shot in the upper left shoulder and was considered serious but stable.
