Businesswoman shot on Red Hills Road

KINGSTON, Jamaica — A gunman shot the owner of a dry cleaning business on Red Hills Road this evening during an attempted robbery.

The shooting took place minutes before seven o’clock as the woman and her employees were locking up the businessplace.

The gunman approached the woman and shot her twice in her stomach after his demands for money were not met.

He escaped on a waiting motorbike.

The woman was rushed to hospital where she is now undergoing treatment.
