Police report that a man armed with a handgun went inside a wholesale establishment at Young Street and robbed the proprietor of a quantity of cash. The proprietor reportedly resisted the robber and was pistol-whipped in the forehead.

The gunman then made his way to a nearby motorbike in an attempt to escape.
