CISOCA investigating case of 12-year-old rape victim

MANDEVILLE, Manchester — Derrick Cochrane, Assistant Commissioner of Police in Area Three has confirmed that the Centre for the Investigation of Sexual Offences and Child Abuse (CISOCA) is now investigating the rape of a 12-year-old girl in the parish on Thursday.
The girl, from a Gabby Street address in Greenvale, was allegedly raped by a man known to be her godfather.
Police reports are that man who is a taxi operator molested the child while taking her home from school.
She reported the incident to her family and the police were alerted.
He was reportedly taken into custody for questioning on Friday.
