Carnival at PNP conference

KINGSTON, Jamaica – It’s a carnival-like atmosphere at the People’s National Party (PNP) annual conference at the National Arena as vuvuzela-blowing supporters sing and dance outside the venue.
Police presence is strong as scores of people, clad in party colours, converge in tents set up on the Independence Park grounds
Inside the Arena appears full as the masses are now being addressed by speakers from as far afield as Cuba, and an affiliate group in the United States.
