Celine at last!
Saturday, January 28, 2012
GRAMMY award-winning Canadian superstar Celine Dion arrived in Jamaica yesterday afternoon for her highly anticipated performance at the Jamaica Jazz & Blues Festival at the Trelawny Multi-purpose Stadium in Trelawny.
Dion's Gulfstream G450 touched down at the private jet terminal at the Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay after 3:00 pm. She had travelled directly to Jamaica from her home in West Palm Beach, Florida.
The singer, who has a huge fan base in Jamaica, was finally booked by the promoters of the festival who had tried two years ago to have her on the show.
Dion was the headline act for last night's instalment of the three-night festival, which also featured local top-quality singers Tami and Tessanne Chin.
Dion was scheduled to fly home immediately after her performance.
The festival concludes tonight with performances from American stars Cee Lo Green, the Temptations and big name Jamaican act Damian Marley, among others.
