GARTH Ranger, who pleaded guilty to breaking into two cars and stealing several items, was sentenced to six months in prison, when he appeared before the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court yesterday.
Police report that Ranger broke into two cars and stole several items from each.
When asked why he should not be sent to prison for his crimes, he did not give an excuse but asked to be sent to Patricia House because he has a drug problem. Patricia House is a facility set up to assist drug addicts to kick their habit.
Senior Magistrate Judith Pusey asked Ranger where and with who he lived.
"An ex female," he answered.
Pusey sat up and asked him again, he replied the same thing to which she said; "an ex female is a male you know."
He was sentenced to six months for each charge. The sentences will run concurrently. He will also be recommended for drug rehabilitation.
