ST JAMES, Jamaica — A joint police/military operation in Seaview Drive, Flanker, St James, led to the seizure of just over a pound of cocaine and the arrest of four persons today.

Reports from the Transnational Crime and Narcotics Division are that between 1:00 pm and 4:30 pm, the team conducted an operation in the community, during which premises were searched and packages containing the drug — which weighed about one pound and 14 ounces — were found. A sum of cash and a Honda motorcar were also seized.

One of the four has since been processed and released, while the other three, whose identities are being withheld, remain in custody.

The drug has an estimated street value of J$2 million dollars.
