KINGSTON, Jamaica – The Police High Command has removed a group of policemen from front line duty after an incident over the weekend where head of the St Andrew Central Police Division, Derrick 'Cowboy' Knight, was fired at by the group of law men.

Police report that Knight was travelling along Spanish Town Road, Kingston, in an unmarked vehicle when the incident occurred.

Knight was in the vehicle with another policeman. Neither of them were injured.

Circumstances which led to the officers chasing and firing at the policeman’s vehicle are now being investigated.
