Two Jamaican crew members found with drug

KINGSTON, Jamaica (AP) — Royal Caribbean says authorities in Jamaica have detained two crew members from one of it cruise ships after they were found with cocaine when the ship was docked in Montego Bay, St James.

The cruise line says in a statement that customs officers found 18 kilograms (40 pounds) of the drug on one of the crewmen and 15 kilograms (33 pounds) in the cabin of another on the Grandeur of the Seas.

The ship had just arrived from Cartagena, Colombia, yesterday.

Spokeswoman Cynthia Martinez says both crew members are Jamaican and that the company is cooperating with authorities in the investigation.
