Curfews imposed in Corporate Area and St James
SEVERAL curfews have been imposed in the Corporate Area and St James. The curfews became effective at 6:00 pm yesterday and will remain in effect until 6:00 pm Thursday.
The boundaries of the curfews are as follows:
Trench Town:
North along Fifth Street from Collie Smith Drive to East Road;
South along an imaginary line from the intersection of East Road and Greenwich Street to Collie Smith Drive;
East along East Road from Fifth Street to the southern boundary; and
West along Collie Smith Drive from the southern boundary to Fifth Street.
Granville:
North along Pitfour Drive from Chambers Drive to Pitfour Boulevard;
East along Pitfour Boulevard from Pitfour Drive to Granville Drive;
South along Granville Drive from Pitfour Boulevard to Chambers Drive; and
West along Chambers Drive from Granville Drive to Pitfour Drive.
Rose Heights:
North along an imaginary line from Rose Mount to Farm Hill;
East along an imaginary line from Farm Hill to Vietnam main road in the vicinity of Carmen Shop;
South along Vietnam main road from Carmen shop to the intersection with Vietnam First Street; and
West along Vietnam First Street from Vietnam main road to Rose Mount;
Flankers:
North along an imaginary line from Providence Heights Housing Scheme main road to McKenzie Drive;
East along McKenzie Drive from the northern boundary to Queen’s Drive;
South along an imaginary line from Queen’s Drive to the Providence Heights Housing Scheme main road; and
West along Providence Heights Housing Scheme main road from the southern boundary to the northern boundary.
Canterbury
North along an imaginary line from Orange Street to Albion Lane;
East along Albion Lane from the northern boundary to the intersection of King Street and Love Lane;
South along Love Lane from King Street to Orange Street; and
West along Orange Street from Love Lane to the northern boundary.
During the hours of the curfews all persons within the boundaries are required to remain within their premises unless otherwise authorised in writing by the ground commander.
