Curfews in Hanover, St James

Several curfews have been imposed in Hanover and St James. The curfews began at 7:00 pm yesterday and will remain in effect until 6:00 pm tomorrow.

The boundaries of the curfews are as follows:

Hanover

Askenish

North along Sandy Bay main road from the western boundary to Mount Pellier main road;

East along Mount Pellier main road from Sandy Bay main road to Mount Pellier main road from Sandy Bay main road to Mount Pellier Health Centre;

South along an imaginary line from Mount Pellier Health Centre to Hell Gate Cross Road;

West along an imaginary line from Hell Gate Cross Road to Sandy Bay main road.

St James

Salt Spring

North along Quarry main road from Middle Road to top Quarry Road;

East along top Quarry Road onto top Melbourne Road from Quarry main road to the southern boundary;

South along an imaginary line from Top Melbourne Road to bottom Melbourne Road;

West along Bottom Melbourne Road onto Middle Road from the southern boundary to Quarry main road.

Rose Heights Community

North along an imaginary line from Rose Mount to Farm Hill;

East along an imaginary line from Farm Hill to Vietnam main road in the  vicinity of Carmen’s Shop;

South along Vietnam main road from Carmen’s Shop to the intersection with Vietnam First Street;

West along Vietnam First Street from Vietnam main road to Rose Mount.

Norwood, UGA and Church Lanes

North along Gulf Main Road from Hart Boulevard to the eastern boundary;

East along an imaginary line from Gulf main road to the southern boundary;

South along an imaginary line from the eastern boundary to Hart Boulevard;

West along Hart Boulevard from the southern boundary to Gulf main road.

Mount Salem

North along Mount Salem Main Road from Peddlars Lane to Bottom Clarke Street;

East along Bottom Clarke Street from Mount Salem main road to the southern boundary;

South along an imaginary line from Bottom Clarke Street to Peddlars Lane;

West along Peddlars Lane from the southern boundary to Mount Salem Road.

During the hours of the curfews all persons within the boundaries are required to remain within their premises unless otherwise authorised in writing by the members of security forces in charge of enforcing the curfews.
