Curfews in St Andrew

CURFEWS are currently in effect in the Marverly, August Town and Kintyre communities of St Andrew. The curfews began at 7:00 last night, and will remain in effect until 6:00 pm tomorrow.

The boundaries are as follows:

MARVERLY:

NORTH: Along Marverly Avenue, from Marverly Drive to No. 5 Marverly Avenue (#5 Lane) vicinity the betting shop;

EAST: Along No. 5 Marverly Avenue (#5 Lane), vicinity the betting shop, from Marverly Avenue to No. 31 Molynes Road (back road);

SOUTH: Along No.31 Molynes Road (back road), from No. 5 Marverly Avenue (# 5 Lane) vicinity the betting shop to Marverly Drive vicinity Tarrant High;

WEST: along Marverly Drive, from No. 31 Molynes Road (back road), vicinity Tarrant High School, to Marverly Avenue.

KINTYRE (Ackee Walk)

NORTH: Along Camp View Road, from Housing Drive to St. Joseph Road;

EAST: Along St. Joseph Road, from Camp Road to the Ackee Walk;

SOUTH: Along an imaginary line from the Ackee Walk to Hill Ridge;

WEST: Along Hill Ridge, from the southern boundary to Housing Drive.

AUGUST TOWN (AFRICAN GARDENS)  

NORTH: Along Reserve Road, from the hillside using an imaginary line to Hope River (Bottom River);

EAST: Along Hope River (Bottom River) using imaginary line from Reserve Road to the southern boundary;

SOUTH: Along an imaginary line from Hope River (Bottom River) to the unpainted upstairs house on the hillside and

WEST: Along the hillside from the unpainted upstairs house to Reserve Road.

During the hours of these curfews, all persons within the boundaries are required to remain within their premises unless otherwise authorised in writing by the members of the security forces who are in charge of enforcing the curfews.
