Curfews in St Andrew

SEVERAL curfews have been imposed in the St. Andrew Central division. The curfews began at 7:00 last night and will remain in effect until 6:00 pm today.

The boundaries of the curfews are as follows:

MAVERLEY

NORTH: Along Maverley Avenue, from Maverley Drive to #5 Maverley Avenue (#5 Lane) in the vicinity of the betting shop;

EAST: Along #5 Maverley Avenue (#5 Lane), in the vicinity of the betting shop from Maverley Avenue to #31 Molynes Road (back road);

SOUTH: Along #31 Molynes Road (back road) from #5 Maverley Avenue (#5 Lane) in the vicinity of the betting shop to Maverley, in the vicinity of Tarrant High School;

WEST: Along Maverley Drive from #31 Molynes Road (back road) in the vicinity of Tarrant High School to Maverley Avenue.

KINTYRE (ACKEE WALK)

NORTH: Along Camp View Road from Housing Drive to St. Joseph Road;

EAST: Along St. Joseph Road from Camp View Road to the ackee walk;

SOUTH: Along an imaginary line from the ackee walk to Hill Ridge;

WEST: Along Hill Ridge from the southern boundary to Housing Drive.

AFRICAN GARDENS, AUGUST TOWN

NORTH: Along Reserve Road from the hillside using an imaginary line to Hope River (Bottom River);

EAST: Along Hope River (Bottom River) using an imaginary line from Reserve Road to the southern boundary;

SOUTH: Along an imaginary line from Hope River (Bottom River) to the unpainted upstairs house on the hillside;

WEST: Along the hillside from the unpainted upstairs house to Reserve Road.

MONA COMMONS

NORTH: Along a dirt line from Aquinas Catholic Centre using an imaginary line to Tavern Avenue;

EAST: Along Tavern Avenue from St. Joseph Road to Hope Road;

SOUTH: Along a dirt line from Mona Commons Basic School using an imaginary line to Tavern;

WEST: Along Golding Avenue from Aquinas Catholic Church Centre to Mona Commons Basic School

WALTHAM PARK

NORTH: Along Verbena Avenue onto Cartina Avenue from Aloe Avenue to Waltham Park Road;

EAST: Along Waltham Park Road from Cartina Avenue to Bay Farm Road;

SOUTH: Along Bay Farm Road from Waltham Park Road to Aloe Avenue;

WEST: Along Aloe Avenue from Bay Farm Road to Verbena Avenue

During the hours of the curfews, all persons within the boundaries are required to remain within their premises unless otherwise authorised in writing by the members of the security forces in charge of enforcing the curfews.
