Wednesday, August 01, 2012 | 1:28 PM

PORT ANTONIO, Jamaica — Davian Robinson, a 24-year-old deportee is the third victim of murder in Portland this year.

Police report that Robinson, who lived with his uncle, was last seen alive about 10:30pm yesterday.

His uncle left the house at that time and saw Robinson lying on a bed and a door open.

When his uncle returned at about 2:00am he noticed that the gate and door were still open.

After calling out and not getting a response, Robinson's uncle said he turned on a light and saw his nephew lying on the bed in a pool of blood and the right side of the neck partially severed.

Robinson was taken to the Port Antonio hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The police have held two suspects and are carrying out investigations.

According to Portland crime chief David Ebanks, the two previous murders in the parish have been cleared.

"We hope that this one is also cleared. We are warning all criminals and persons with criminal intentions to stay clear of the parish as we intend to keep the parish as the safest one and maintain the very low crime rate," said Ebanks.

Last year ten persons were killed in Portland.
