Digicel Jamaica CEO Andy Thorburn helps staff volunteers pack bags with supplies prior to today’s launch of its multimillion-dollar relief effort targetting communities in Portland and St Mary which were devastated by Hurricane Sandy last week. “Digicel is very concerned about the impact that Sandy had on grass roots communities in the eastern section of the island. The impact was greater than most persons anticipated and, as a Jamaican organisation, we are committed to understanding the impact and wholeheartedly enabling the recovery process,” said Thorburn Saturday.
