KINGSTON, Jamaica - The National Solid Waste Management Authority (NSWMA) is urging members of the public to desist from entering the Riverton City Disposal Site in search of items they may consider of value, following the death of a youngster at the site Wednesday.
The police identified the deceased as 17-year-old Alando Grant of Ferguson Drive, Riverton City.
The Riverton Disposal Site abuts an industrial area and a residential community close to Six Miles in St Andrew.
The incident occurred about 5:00 pm when a D9 Heavy Duty Equipment carrying out regular spreading and covering on the disposal site, ran over the young man, the NSWMA said.
