KINGSTON, Jamaica - A broken power line dangerously dangling at the intersection of Myers and Pryce streets, Jones Town is causing serious concern for residents of the inner-city community.

Residents said they woke up Monday morning to see the downed power line, which appears to be live, at the intersection.

They are now seeking urgent assistance from the Jamaica Public Service (JPS) in removing the wire, which they believe may soon cause an electrocution.

"It was this morning a little girl was almost electrocuted by the live wire and we are calling for the JPS to address the problem," a resident in the area said.
