UPDATE: 'Dudus' captured

Miller was transporting fugitive to US embassy

Tuesday, June 22, 2010

FORMER Tivoli Gardens strongman Christopher 'Dudus' Coke is now being held at a secure location, said Police Commissioner Owen Ellington.

Coke was transported by Jamaica Defence Force (JDF) helicopter from Spanish Town, St Catherine this afternoon.

He was arrested in the company of Reverend Al Miller who said he was taking Coke to the United States Embassy at Coke's request.

They were stopped by police at a road check on Mandela Highway.

The police recognised the fugitive, who was being transported to Kingston from out of town.

Coke is wanted by the United States on gun and drug trafficking charges.

A $5 million dollar reward was recently placed for information leading to his arrest.

We will be bringing you live updates from the police press conference beginning at 6:15 pm.

I do hope the police drill Mr miller to the max.why he wanted to hand over this fugitive to the American embassy instead of the police, and how comes he know where to find all three family member, was the Rev. hiding something from the police, look very fishy.

The preacher taking the fugitive to the US Embassy, I wonder if he got the reward. Now he is being summoned. That is what happens when politics infiltrate the pulpit.

How convenient for him to be taking Dudus to the embassy. Things that makes you go hmmm

6/22/2010
Was Al Miller doing something legal? The US Embassy personnel have no police duties in Jamaica. Was Al Miller aiding and abetting a known fugitive? And if Al Miller had indeed made it to the US Embassy with Mr. Coke, it would be their duty to turn him over to Jamaican law enforcement for due process to take place. So, was Al Miller really taking the fugitive to the US Embassy or was he aiding and abetting the known fugitive?

Maybe Al "escorted" Dudus out of Tivoli? What a passa passa?

Seems to me that Al is hedging his bets. He has a connection with the "underworld" and the "overworld". Brother Al, help us to have a safe "middleworld"

We are all sitting there and rejoicing because we are so happy" DUDUS IS CAUGHT", but we fail to realize what the outcome is going to be due to this. We have to remember that this is just a a chain as one link breaks another comes in to replace that link. For the country to change 75% of the nation as to be extradited. This doesnt solve anything just causes more confusion and more lives to be lost. I live the lifestyle everyday one thing I know this is'nt over, its just started.

How do we know that Al Miller was really transporting him to the U.S. Embassy? Maybe he was transporting him out of St. Catherine because the State of Emergency was coming to St. Catherine.
How comes Al Miller's car just happened to get stopped? Could it be that Al Miller's car was under surveilance?

Thank God Dudus is in custody, I hope he get the chance to tell it all, that the Jamaican people can know what was going on in the lovely Jamaica.I asked God to intervene for I want the killing to stop and every one start to live loving again and seek God in there soul.

Is this a coincident? Just as Bruce is getting ready to attend the G20 summitt in Toronto, Dudus is caught. Wow!
Now Bruce can face the other world leaders without a thick dark cloud over his head!! Hmmmm

It puzzle me that Rev. Al would be the one to have Dudus in his presence. Why was he taking him to the US Embassy, when there is a warrant out for his arrest?

Let's hope Dudus lives to talk! He is in grave danger. It would have been much better if he had made it to the US Embassy. He has much to fear from the Jamaican police and their superiors in the government.

finally. Police is correct in calling for Al Miller to turn himself in. From the news reports, DUDUS was caught in a police spot check..in company of Al Miller who then said he was takin him to US embassy to hand him over..make no sense..why not hand him over to local police who is in charge??...Security need to come down hard on all these ppl...providing safe havens for criminals & gangstas. Al Miller mustv known where DUDUS was all along...he should be charged, if its proven...

6/22/2010
The final chapter in this sordid saga is now closed. A new book will be written, starting with his extradition to the US. Cliff Hughes is reporting that someone close to his legal team has indicated that Dudus has decided to waive his legal rights in Jamaica and turn himself over to the US authorities. This might be the beginning of more "bangarang." I hope he doesn't die in custody here in Jamaica.

I really hope he lives to make it out of the country. He should not be at Spanish Town he needs to be somewhere much more secure where the corrupt police and politicians can't influence anyone to bump him off.

Well Well..The Rev came through...After all the mayhem that this man caused he decided to turn himself and waive his extradition hearing..Why did he not do that before, what assurances were given to him to make him feel like this would not be the outcome..Just wondering..Maybe he will be smart enough to maker a deal for himself now and let it rip on the corrupt politicians taking up space to the Parliament...

As long as he is not harmed I dont think the police have anything to worry about.

6/22/2010
I wonder if Al Miller will be charged for aiding and abetting a criminal? Afterall, Nationwide news said that Christopher 'Dudus' Coke was "PICKED UP" in the company of Al Miller rather than Al turning Coke in. And by the way, has anyone ever wondered about the irony that Christopher's last name is "Coke"?

Let us hope he gets to the US safely. I hope he spills the beans on all whether they be JLP, PNP, Business people or preachers.

Shouldn't Al Miller be considered to be aiding and abetting a wanted person? But then, the leaders of the "church" have always seemed to want to side with Barabbas.

Poor fellow! wonder why him do a Ting like dat!! as the DJ would say. Perhaps he have heard that the State of emergency will be extended to Spanish Town; which would have placed him in a very critical position. Well it's his decision, he must live with it. It's not suppose to be a good idea to have the Security Forces looking for you. Good luck to him in his struggle to avoid the Imperialist prison system. There are Two Roads ahead, the good and the bad:

Brother Dudus, why did you make a bonehead move like that?
Didn't we tell you to turn yourself over to the US authorities? Your lawyers cannot prevent the extradition.
It is not too late, go to the US, they will make a deal with you when you are there, give them the big whales, serve a little time and come home. Don't worry that they haven't made the deal yet.
You are way too intelligent to not become 100% legit making millions and join the PSOJ.
How are you sure you will live to see trial?

Dudus is creation of the political system so even when he reveals all, absolutely nothing will become of the information. In all his evil he protected his people, educate and fed them .What a shame he did more than the governments.Do we expect that our politicians, and alleged businessmen will be tried and go to prison. Same politics will continue, same corruption. It is the people who will have to make a change and they will continue to vote to get the same election benefits. We failed terribly .

Now that Mr.Coke is in custody all precautions must be taken to ensure his safety.I would suggest he be placed under guard by the military.Given the history of Jim Brown he has the same chance of a snow ball in hell if he remains in the custody of the police.Immediate steps should be taken to interrogate Mr.Coke and it should be video taped.Mr.Coke should have a deposition done, with copies to each newspaper, his lawyer, and a trusted family member. This will afford him some safety.Help clean up JA.

I knew Al Miller knew where he was. It is time for the church to stop hiding people like these. I am a christian but I believe that it is phony to use the church as an excuse to hide people or not let the law take its course. Where do you draw the line? If a man comes and confesses that he has committed murder or any other crime, the church should not protect them but hand them over. Since when is the Lord's house a hiding place for criminals?
