EU gives Jamaica government J$7-b grant for budget support

KINGSTON, Jamaica -- The European Union (EU) and the Government of Jamaica on Monday, December 9, will be having a handover ceremony for the disbursement of grant resources totalling approximately J$7 billion to support the 2014/15 Budget.

The ceremony is expected to take place at the Ministry of Finance at Heroes Circle in Kingston.

Cabinet on Friday completed day two of a special retreat at Jamaica House to discuss priorities for the financial year 2014/2015 and agree on the overall budgetary limits.
