Elephant man rape case postponed
BY PAUL HENRY
Monday, October 29, 2012 | 3:00 PM
KINGSTON, Jamaica — The preliminary enquiry into rape allegations against dancehall artiste Elephant Man was on Monday postponed in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's court.
The enquiry is now set to start on February 11, 2013.
The case was postponed due to an outstanding forensic report, among other things.
The artiste's $400,000 bail was extended until the February date.
The 36-year-old artiste, whose real name is Oniel Bryan, is charged with rape and sexual assault as a result of the January 2012 incident involving a 31-year-old woman at his Hillcrest Avenue home in St Andrew.
