Ellington commends MOCA for MoBay arrests
Thursday, July 19, 2012 | 10:14 AM
KINGSTON, Jamaica – Commissioner of Police Owen Ellington yesterday praised members of the Major Organised Crime and Anti-Corruption Task Force (MOCA), especially Senior Superintendent Leon Clunis and his team, for their most recent success.
Ellington said the arrests of two politicians yesterday during an operation in Montego Bay, St James, is a clear demonstration of the lottery scam task force’s determination to go after those involved in the fiendish scheme.
He said the members of the task force have embodied the spirit of their law enforcement oath, and are committed to discharging their duties “without favour or affection, malice or ill will”.
Ellington also commended the officers for maintaining a high level of professionalism, and urged them to continue working hard to bring all those involved in the lottery scam to justice.
