THE Clarendon police who have been hunting for former Jamaica Defence Force (JDF) soldier Wilbert Pryce say they have received a report that he made contact with close associates and wants to turn himself over to the police.
The former military man, who has been on the run since Sunday, is wanted for questing in connection with the death of his mother-in-law and the injury of the mother of his two children in Bryan's Hill, Clarendon. The ex-soldier is also accused of raping a woman in a neighbouring community hours after he allegedly carried out the attacks.
"At this time the police are gathering new information in the case and based on what we have collected we are confident that we could soon make a breakthrough in the case," said Leonard Jennings, an investigator, yesterday.
