Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade Senator A J Nicholson (right) speaks to outgoing Belgian Ambassador to Jamaica Frederic Meurice at a farewell call by the ambassador at the ministry on Tuesday. Minister Nicholson thanked the ambassador for the assistance given by both his government and private sector to Jamaica in several areas. These included transportation where they were integral to the development of the transport centres at Half -Way-Tree, Spanish Town and Portmore. The ambassador, who will be completing a four-year tour of duty, expressed gratitude to the minister for making himself available and said that he and other diplomats have always found the foreign ministry easy to work with.
