ST CATHERINE, Jamaica -- A farmer in Lime Tree Grove, St Catherine has devised an ingenious way to thwart thieves targeting farms in her community.
The female farmer who plants bananas and other products for a living has started to spray paint her bananas, while in the field.
"For years I have come under pressure from thieves, them no stop plague me farm and me get fed up," said the farmer who asked not to be named.
"That is why I took the decision to start spray paint my bananas," the farmer said.
The woman claims that since she started spray painting crops criminals have stayed away from her farm.
