Female student stabbed, injured by another girl’s boyfriend
Saturday, January 21, 2012
THE Ministry of Education has condemned the stabbing incident that took place yesterday, after school hours, at a bus stop in the vicinity of the Pembroke Hall High School in Kingston.
The victim is a ninth grade female student of the Pembroke Hall High School, who was attacked after a brief disagreement with a female student, a member of the Marverly Primary and Junior High School.
According to the ministry, the victim accidentally bumped into the Marverly student, to whom she immediately offered an apology. "The enraged student went for her boyfriend who viciously attacked and stabbed the offending female student. The young lady has since been admitted to hospital in critical condition," a ministry statement said last night.
Added the statement: "A trauma response team has been instructed to visit the school and offer counselling services to both students and their families. Grief counselling sessions will also be offered to students at the institution who have been affected by this unfortunate incident." The ministry also offered its sympathy to the victim's family and hoped for a full recovery.

I cannot understand how this so call school girl and her maniac, murderous and moron boyfriend were not arrested, surely this was attempt murder. To me this girl is not interested in school, if she was, why at her tender age she needs to have a boyfriend? To me she is void of love, respect both for herself and others, discipline and self-esteem. As for her boyfriend I will not waste time commenting on that sub-human. I do hope that the victim recovers and go on to fulfil her true potential.

Okay,so what we have here is a failure to communicate leading to attempted murder/accomplice to commit murder, for both Bonnie and Clyde, respectively. The victim's family must file to sue. So how do we stop this in the future Jamaica? Okay, how about mandatory schools buses for all schools across the island;School polices, properly trained forensics giudance counsellors? Will she get a scholarship after recovery?I HOPE SHE RECOVERS.This is not a white-collar crime so don't overlook it."Ching Chang"

The Police seem quite lax when "schoolers" are involved. They don't seem to realise that lawlessness in every sector affects the acceptance of violent crime in the national ethos as a whole. How come no arrest has been made? They know the other girl involved, who can give them information. No doubt she will turn up for classes Monday morning for "trauma counselling" too, a term meaning"do nothing" just sob and forgive. However,Thwaites has "condemned" the stabbing. That will teach them .

Emotional people are usually ignorant, noisy and prone to violence.

Locked away, he will commit more attrocities. However, there's more to this story than a lil ole bump.

Red Ants I agree with you. Why does the attacker's girlfriend needs counselling? She must have known or had wanted harm done to the victimn

This is senseless! This is why the prisons are full of stupid men like this one. Young and old, they are quick to anger. It's compounded by these troublesome women who instigate confrontations because they know they can inveigle these foolish men to fight, steal or commit crimes to stay in their favor. I hope the victim fully recovers and both this girl and her boyfriend should be severely punished.

This is report is sorely lacking details. What about the perpetrators?
1/21/2012
They should both be charged and the boy should be sent to Prison for the rest of his life if this was my child and she died as a result I can't say what would happened but according to this report the student that apologize seems to be someone from a home with real people. the others probably was raised by animals.
the Government should develop a program to separate the bad students from the good ones send them to another school. it is hard to have your good child mix with these kid of kids.

So what happened to the other girl and her boyfriend? Were they arrested? This article is incomplete.

He is a stupid punk and you can bet that he wouldn't step to another man like that. I hope both he and the idiot hot tempered girlfriend get cooled off in jail.

Our young people are too undisciplined and prone to violence as a result of the pervasive crime and corruption they are exposed. This is why it is imperative that these problems be fixed. There should be a campaign to help restore discipline and civility and to help young people understand that violence does not fix a problem it only creates more problem. I suggest that we start this campaign by putting these two culprits on national TV and humiliate them.

I am not surprised as I have seen countless incidents at the same bus stop between the offending schools. Poor or no parenting is partly responsible for an action like this where young people act before they think.
1/21/2012
@Red Ants, sometimes I wonder the purpose of some of these reports. Not one word about the idiot who should be in jail right away. These reports encourage idiots in their idiocy more than anything else. Our collective thought processes went south
I should just end this and say no more.

Story is incomplete. I hope Ronnie Thwaites is not just another Maxine "ease dem up, dem a jus' kids" Henry, PNP liberal . At least Holness cannot be faulted in this regard. He took a firm stance against violence and murderous behaviour in schoolchildren. Discipline and accountability must be foremost ; let the police do their work. Sorry to lose even one student out of the system(Two, if the injured girl dies).

how troubling, lets hope that she will be well.however,i hope that the little shotta is behind bars where he belongs.he must learn to stop hitting girls.

What a stupid man! Did the police made an arrest? Both the boyfriend and girlfriend should be arrested and charge.
