Fire destroys St Mary house

ST MARY, Jamaica — Fire destroyed a seven apartment dwelling in Retreat, St Mary yesterday.

The Retreat Police report that about 8:00 pm, residents saw fire coming from the kitchen of the premises and alerted the police. Two units from the Retreat and Ochi Rios fire departments responded  and extinguished  the blaze.

Loss is estimated at $3.3 million. The house was not insured.

Investigations continue.
