Fire destroys one-bedroom house in Clarendon

MAY PEN, Clarendon - A one-bedroom board house was destroyed by fire on Hazard Drive, May Pen in Clarendon on Friday.

Reports from the May Pen Police are that about 1:15 pm the home owner was next door when she observed fire coming from her residence. The police were summoned and one unit from the May Pen Fire Department extinguished the blaze.

Loss is estimated at $600, 000, it is unknown if the house was insured.

Investigations continue.
