Fire destroys section of Hanover house

HANOVER, Jamaica — Fire destroyed a section of a house in Cessnock District, Hanover last night.

The Kingsvale police report that about 9:00 pm, the owner of the house was at church when she received a call that her house was on fire.

The fire department was alerted and one unit from the Lucea Fire station conducted cooling down operations.

The house was not insured and the estimated loss is $5 million.
