POLICE in St. James yesterday seized a firearm and five rounds of ammunition as well as arrested two men during an operation on the Greenwood main road, Montego Bay in the parish.

According to reports received, about 9:00 a.m., officers conducted an operation in the area, during which the driver of a motor bus was stopped and the motor vehicle searched. A Smith and Wesson Springfield pistol, with serial number DSW0141, along with five .40 rounds were found.

The items as well as the motor bus were seized and two male passengers taken into custody. Their identities are however being withheld pending further investigations.
