Firearm seized in St Elizabeth

KINGSTON, Jamaica - The police seized a firearm and ammunition on the Lacovia main road in St. Elizabeth yesterday morning.

Reports from the Lacovia Police are that about 7:30 am a team of officers signaled the driver of a motor bus to stop and he complied. The vehicle was searched and a 9mm Browning pistol, with nine 9mm cartridges were found under a seat. One man was taken into custody in connection with the find

His name is being withheld pending further investigations.
