Three firearms seized in St Andrew, St Catherine Tuesday

KINGSTON, Jamaica -- The police have reported the seizure of three firearms during separate operations in St Catherine and St Andrew on Tuesday.
In the first seizure officers from the St Andrew South Division say they searched premises on Wellington Road, St Andrew about 8:10 am and found a .38 Taurus Revolver , an imitation firearm and seven cartridges.
Later that afternoon, about 12:15, the Portmore police seized a Cobray M11 submachine gun with a magazine containing six 9mm rounds in the area.
No one was arrested in connection to the seizures.
