KINGSTON, Jamaica — A broken Jamaica Public Service (JPS) utility pole is causing concerns for commuters along Marcus Garvey Drive in Kingston.

Motorists and pedestrians alike are worried that the rotting pole, located close to Petrojam refinery, could topple at anytime.

"The pole has been hanging dangerously over the side walk for months we have raised concern about the problem but are yet to hear from the authorities," a fish vendor who operates a small stall close to the pole told the Observer.

Several other people passing the location have raised similar concerns.
