Thursday, September 13, 2012 | 6:26 PM

KINGSTON, Jamaica — Wayne Whyte, the former disc jock who allegedly shot media personality Jody Ann Gray, was denied bail today.

Whyte appeared in the Gun Court, but was denied bail due to concerns judge Bryan Sykes expressed about Gray’s safety.

Whyte faces several charges including illegal possession of a firearm and illegal possession of ammunition.

He is also awaiting trial for shooting with intent.

Gray was shot as she attempted to enter her Portmore, St Catherine home in April.

She was pregnant at the time of the incident and gave birth in July.

Both Whyte and Gray were employed to KOOL FM at the time.
