Sprint hurdler Foster-Hylton falters again
Friday, August 17, 2012 | 2:18 PM
Brigitte Foster-Hylton’s streak of bad luck continued after she jumped the gun in the 100m hurdles in Stockholm today.
Foster-Hylton (12.96) was not disqualified but after a poor start she finished down the field in seventh.
The race was won by American Dawn Harper in 12.65 while second went to another US athlete, Kellie Wells (12.79).
Harper was second in the Olympic final and Wells was third.
Foster-Hylton did not make the final after hitting several hurdles in the first round. The former world champion walked off the track in anguish before telling reporters that she was sad to have disappointed her fans.
