Ganja seized on Highway 2000

ST CATHERINE, Jamaica — The Ferry Police seized approximately 100 pounds of ganja during an operation in the vicinity of the Vineyard’s Toll on Highway 2000 in St Catherine Monday morning.

According to police reports about 5:30 am lawmen on duty signalled the driver of a Toyota Sprinter motorcar to stop. The driver complied and the vehicle searched, during which the weed valued at J$500 thousand was found in plastic bags inside the vehicle.

Three men aboard the vehicle were arrested and will be questioned in the presence of their attorneys.
