Gary Barrow joins JPS
Sunday, August 19, 2012
THE Jamaica Public Service Company (JPS) yesterday announced that Gary Barrow will join the company as senior vice-president of customer operations and support services.
The appointment, effective September 3, is one of a number of moves being made by JPS's new president and CEO Kelly Tomblin to improve customer relations at the light and power company.
"I'm pleased to welcome Gary Barrow to the team at this critical time," a news release from JPS quoted Tomblin. "He will have overall responsibility for transmission, distribution and our parish operations, and so will play a key role in helping to change the way we serve our customers. Gary's extensive leadership experience, along with his track record of successful business transformation, will definitely be an asset during the culture change process at JPS."
Barrow has more than 20 years of leadership experience in several disciplines, including engineering, finance, telecoms regulations, human resources, government relations, business transformation, power systems and process re-engineering.
