Gas price down six cents, diesel up J$1.97

KINGSTON, Jamaica — Jamaica’s sole refinery Petrojam has announced a decrease in the ex-refinery price of gasoline effective Thursday, March 6, 2014.

87 –and-90-octane gasoline will be sold for $121.03 and $122.69 per litre, respectively, down by 0.06 cents each.

Automotive diesel fuel will be sold for $126.88 per litre after an increase of $1.97 while ultra-low sulphur diesel is down by .20 cents, and will be sold for $134.32 per litre.

Meanwhile, kerosene oil was decreased in price by .50 cents and will be sold for $130.69 per litre.

Propane liquid petroleum will be sold for $57.40 per litre, down by $3.93 while butane liquid petroleum will be sold for $59.17 per litre after a decrease of $1.87.

Marketing companies and retailers will add their respective mark up.
