Dear Claudienne
In early 2012 I tried to rent the vacant living quarters at a post office in the eastern part of the island. I spoke to the eastern regional supervisor for post offices and she advised me to make a written application to rent it. I also spoke to the building officer for post offices islandwide in Kingston.
The building officer referred me back to the regional supervisor and she assured me that I could get the living quarters to rent, but that "paperwork" had to be done. The supervisor then went on leave.
On the basis of that conversation with the regional supervisor, I went ahead and installed lighting fixtures and some switches in the living quarters. However, after the installation of the lighting fixtures I was told by the supervisor that the living quarters would not be rented to me.
I have requested them to return the lighting fixtures that I installed, but I have had no response. I spoke to the building officer and I have written a letter to the Postmaster General, but got no response.
Could you please look into this matter for me as I am building a house and need the lighting fixtures for my own use.
GB
Dear GB
Tell Claudienne contacted the Postmaster General and he said he has not received your letter. He has instructed the building officer to do an investigation. We note that the building officer visited the living quarters at the post office on Wednesday, January 30, and that the lighting fixtures were returned to you that same day.
Good luck.
Dear Claudienne
On March 14, 2011, I applied for my birth certificate at the Montego Bay office of the Registrar General's Department (RGD) but up to now I have not received it.
Your help will be highly appreciated.
RS
Dear RS
Tell Claudienne gave the Registrar General's Department (RGD) your receipt number and tracking number. We have been advised by the RGD that you were contacted and told that there was no surname on your birth certificate. The RGD said that a Late Entry of Name application has to be done for you to get a birth certificate.
Good luck.
